What a fantastic product. We bought the 6000Watt 50 amp systems for its ability to power bigger appliances, things like a washer and drier, our refrigerator and dishwasher and so on. 50 Amps means we can run multiple appliances at the same time and with the triple surge protection we don’t have to worry about start up. The system is so easy to use and already it has allowed us to reduce our electric bill. I love the fact that we can use either the grid or the solar panels to recharge the system.
I live in California, everyone here talks about the next BIG One, an earthquake of record size, but there are other things too. Flash floods and mudslides, drought, windstorms and wild fires, severe thunderstorms, tornados and so on. All of which could cause a long term power outage. So as part of our disaster plan we decided it would be important to have electricity. Being as self sufficient as possible was important, which is why we decided on a solar generator.
After doing a lot of research a friend suggested I check out a video he had seen on YouTube for the Independent Power Provider (IPP) Series solar and wind generators. I was really impressed and began comparing all the other systems I had seen to it. It did not take long to figure out that the IPP was by far the most powerful and best designed system on the market. But we still had lots of questions.
We contacted Lois at Environmental Power & Water Generation and she was so helpful. She answered all our questions, and did an electrical load calculation. After doing some more checking we ordered the system. Six weeks later our system was delivered on time and fully charged and ready to go.
Since then my wife and I has been using it to do laundry and dishes, and power our living room. Being able to run off the panels during the day allows us to use it and still have a full charge at night and with the easy to understand digital displays we always know exactly how much we are producing and using.
